Today we are taking time to get to know one of our current Creative Team members who is taking a stab at designing this month here at CRD. We are so excited to see what all she has up her sleeve and we know that she will do just a FABULOUS job of designing products for you all to enjoy! Time to grab your drink of choice and get to know Vivie of East-West Scraps!

AA:  Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?
Vivie:  I grew up all over the place: Rhode Island; the Bronx, New York City, Southern California.  I have lived in Michigan; in Kyoto, Japan; and now in the Netherlands!!

AA:  What’s your sign?
Vivie:  I am a Virgo!

AA:  What interested you in Digital Scrapbooking?
Vivie:  I’m was a traditional paper scrapbooker but when we moved to Japan, it was impossible to find any supplies at a decent price and I was hunting down stuff online and ran into 2Peas and of course, now I primarily do digi!  I still do some paper and like to combine both!

AA:  What’s your favorite food?
Vivie:  Sushi and fried rice

AA:  When did you start designing and how did you learn?
Vivie:  Well, in real life I was a computer marketer and did some of the design work for packaging and brochures and manuals for a computer firm.  So I learned on the job around the time Photoshop was created but I never really got into the nuts and bolts until the last year or so using all the great tutorials online.  By the way, thanks to Flergs for her shadow tutorial:  it’s awesome!  I started doing a few freebies on my blog and this is the first opportunity I’ve had to actually sell my stuff.  I’m collaborating with Vanessa, Unica to most of you, on my first try!

AA:  What are your two favorite products you have designed?
Vivie:  I don’t know at this time as I’m still working on finding my style.

AA:  If you could only have three scrap items to use what would they be?
Vivie:  CRD’s Dream Brights Papers, any type of flower and CRD’s shab & sassy papers

AA:  How do you know Christina?
Vivie:  I was so lucky to be selected by Christina to be on her guest CT back in late May.  I was probably her biggest stalker and her first kit was my FIRST digital kit that I bought.  I was using only freebies in the beginning!
