Woohoo, well we have made it to our new hangout, “Authentic Artistry”. So what the heck is it right? It’s a challenge blog! OH ANOTHER one of those…you might say. Yippie kai yay! heehee. No listen this is different. Yall know I come up with crazy wacky stuff all the time. Well to be honest it is quite hard to shut OFF my creative thinking, lol. It actually consumes my life sometimes. So what were gonna do here is propose all these WILD ideas I have to scrap DIFFERENT KINDS of layouts, ok.

We think it’s time to move out of the SAFE ZONE and to start delving into NEW, UNEXPLORED creativity that has NO boundaries. Sounds fun right? Well we promise you it will be. Authentic Artistry is here to be your FUN portal to the digital scrapbooking world. Not only do we have THE most inspiring challenges, we’re rounding up the troops to bring you interviews, freebies and PLENTY of reading content. Spend your coffee breaks thinking about your next layout and how you want it to be something different, not about housework or laundry! We’ve got designers and scrappers alike coming in to tell YOU just what sparks their creativity! Look out for those “need to know” secrets! And no, it won’t be boring; we’ll be getting the juicy stuff!

Ok, one more thing…I didn’t want to retype this all out because it’s kinda long but you need to go checkout our MISSION STATEMENT. It’s what “Authentic Artistry” is all about and hopefully it will inspire you! Ok, let’s get on with it!!….

The first challenge is all about “A Different Background”, we want to see you scrap with this album page. Download the 12×12 album page below and use it as your complete background INSTEAD of a paper. It doesn’t matter what size you scrap, just crop it to your preferred size!

You can use ANYTHING to scrap with; we have NO LIMITS and NO CRD requirements except for using the supplied album page. You can do a 1 page, 2 page or a complete album, it doesn’t matter to us! You should see the amazing inspirational layouts by the team, I was ASTOUNDED at just how much they thought OUTSIDE THE BOX.   They used my all NEW “Ultimate Art Collection” and I think it made their pages look stunning. The collection IS on sale but you are NOT required to use it. Move out of your comfort zone and let anything and everything inspire you, we are REALLY big on expressing your own style and creativity, remember there are NO boundaries!!

The challenge starts today and will thru to next Wednesday at noon EST to get your pages in. The winners will be announced with the new challenge next Thursday. We are in the process of setting up a challenge gallery, but for now please post your layout in a gallery of your choice and post a link to it here!

Everybody is a winner!! You will all be given something for playing along, and then there will be 3 chosen winners to receive CRD gift cards worth $5, $10 and $15 as well! The winners will be chosen based solely on their creativity; we REALLY want to see you thinking OUTSIDE THE BOX. I know I have said this a million times already but we want to see everyone pushing their creativity. Use the inspiration we’ve given to come up with your own way of scrapping this challenge. Have fun with it and we can’t wait to see what yall come up with!!
