Get to Know Unica!!
Before anyone wonders….we have winners for this past week’s contest but I wanted to let you all get to know another FABULOUS new designer here at the Block Party first!! Today we’re going to learn more about Unica of Unica Designs. You’ve probably noticed if you’ve been in the shoppe that she and Vivie have partnered up to make some incredible kits, if you haven’t noticed…..ahem….you need to! Unica is a CT member here at CRD who decided to take the plunge this month into designing some goodies for all of you!! So, take a few minutes, read all about her and get to know her.

AA: Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?
Unica: I grew up in a small (very small) town in southern Brazil, eating mangoes from the tree, playing in the rain and mud and making corn husk dolls. I have been living in West Palm Beach, FL with my two beautiful girls and hubby for almost 10 years now.
AA: What’s your sign?
Unica: I’m a Leo (for good or bad)
AA: What interested you in Digital Scrapbooking?
Unica: I’m not extremely crafty, and I really wanted to preserve my girls memories, I tried to paper scrap with no luck in achieving the looks I wanted. I’m a graphic designer, so digital scrapping seemed a pretty fair extension. I LOVE the fact that with digital you can create imaginary “worlds” (gotta love extractions) that gives me a chance to scrap feelings that are not easily photographed.
AA: What’s your favorite food?
Unica: Hum… this is going to sound crazy but potatoes… any kind, fried, boiled, mashed… can’t get tired of the bland taste I guess LOL!
AA: When did you start designing and how did you learn?
Unica: I’ve dabbled in designing before, about 7 months ago or so, but never followed through with it. Being around CR has inspired me to give it a try once more, and well here I am. “Learned” through trial and error… still learning and still “erroing” as well.
AA: Do you scrap? If so, can you link us to a gallery?
Unica: Yes I do… love to scrap, you can my gallery here!
AA: If you could only have three scrap items to use what would they be?
Unica: Stitches, solid paper and ‘real’ flowers
AA: How do you know Christina?
Unica: I’m on her CT. YEEAHHH!
AA: What are your two favorite products you have designed?
Unica: Tough one… what you see in here is it. First time giving this a real try.

Unica: So far I’ll be here for the month and then who knows… I have some plans for the future but nothing concrete just yet. I guess we will have to wait and see ; )
