I started chatting to Andrea earlier about quotes and layouts. Andrea expressed her love for using quotes for many different reasons; the main 2 being that she likes to “define” a page and photo by using a quote and how much the perfect quote can lift you out of a mojo flunk. Andrea is passionate about the emotion and meaning that can be expressed just by quickly adding a simple quote on her pages.

This got me to thinking, whilst I’m not terribly opposed to using quotes and often find they add a beautiful touch to layouts, I still prefer the picture to do the talking. I like to look at the photo and let my imagination wander. It’s so interesting to see different thoughts and opinions on quotes. Could quotes become the new photos?
