Mid-February Challenge — Under Lock and Key

Posted by admin

As a little girl and on up through my teen years I had a diary that I was faithful about writing in. It all began when my aunt gave me my first one at the age of ten. I poured my heart and soul into those little pages, telling of my puppy love and how I hated my parents (I really didn’t of course) and how my friends loved or betrayed me. I hate to admit that during my teen years those sweet little diary pages got me in to more trouble than I care to remember. I wish that I still had those books today to reflect back on and to see what all that I had written, I’m sure it would bring me some great laughs today. Thankfully, Sarah, gave me a way to start fresh and to carry on with my diary love today…and the BEST part is that we are sharing the fun with you!!

Sarah created this AWESOME diary base for you all to journal in and she also added in some ADORABLE little tidbits to put on your pages! I think she did an amazing job with this and I’m sure you’ll all agree, check it out:

We took this INCREDIBLE journal to the team and asked them to create with it and show us what they could come up with. I was just in COMPLETE awe at their amazing journals and how they each made this their own. I couldn’t bring you this as a challenge without giving you some inspiration first, right? Look at these beauties!!

  14. Yes, I agree, the layouts are nothing short of incredible. What great work!!! Great Blog also & thank you so much for the supplies. I’ll see what I can do!

You had me laughing about your diary & saying how much you disliked your Mom! Growing up, my Dad was always working & he’d come home grumpy & tired. My sister and I, were like 8 & 9 years old, started a diary about my father. We titled it on the front cover, “THE ANGRY MAN”. Every time he was grouchy or didn’t want to play with us, we’d write bad stuff about him & how mean he was. Do you know that diary mysteriously disappeared one day? And we forgot all about it. Thirty years later, my Mom dug it out of her closet & gave it back to us! Probably one of the most hilarious things I’ve ever read!! We had drawings, sketches, all kinds of funky stuff in it, My poor Dad.I don’t know if she ever let him read it. Imagine someone writing a diary about how awful they thought you were!!!

    Kindest thoughts to you!

    Charlene
